Commerce
Education is that area of education which develops the required knowledge,
Skills and attitudes for the successful handling of trade, commerce and
industry. The world of business has tremendous potential for offering career
opportunities in various functional areas, apart from offering self-employment
opportunities to empower students through business education, the department of
Commerce came into existence with the inception of the college in year 2006.
Many
students have brought laurels to the department. Our alumni include Chartered
Accountants, teachers, Bank officers, various positions in MNCÂ’s, Entrepren
eurs
etc.
Our
Alumni have contributed to the department by donating funds and also motivated
to the students by participating in our college activities. Department has two
permanent faculty and eight Fulltime Teaching Assistants.

Assistant Professor
Dr. Sachindra G. R. is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce, Sangolli Rayanna First Grade Constituent College, Belagavi, Karnataka, India. Hailing from an agricultural family in Shivamogga District, he had his early education in different Institutions in Shivamogga District. He procured his M.Com. Degree in 2010 from Kuvempu University with first class and Ninth Rank, and received a Gold Medal for securing highest marks in Accounting and Taxation. He was qualified for NET and Junior Research Fellowship when he was in fourth semester. He has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Commerce by Rani Channamma University. He started his teaching career as Lecturer in Kuvempu University in 2010. Later got appointed to the post of Assistant Professor at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. He has presented large number of research papers at different national and international level conferences, seminars, etc., besides publishing many Research Papers in journals of repute. He is the Life Member of Indian Commerce Association, Indian Accounting Association and Indian Red Cross Society. Dr. Swapna M Mahindrakar is presently full time Guest Faculty in Department of Studies in Commerce at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi. Sangolli Rayanna First Grade Constituent College, Belagavi. She obtained Bachelor Degree from Lingaraj College, Belagavi. And Master Degree from Karnataka University Dharwad in the year 2017, M.Phil from Vinayak Mission Salem in the year 2008-09, Ph.D from Pacific University Udaypur in the year 2016. Ms. Jayashree Upari has completed her graduation in commerce from KRCES' degree college, Bailhongal with 90.58% in 2013 and post-graduation in Commerce from RCU's affiliated Gogte College of Commerce with 74.8% in 2015.She has qualified KSET in 2016 and NET in 2018 and 2019.She has attended and presented papers in various state and national level seminars. She has total 7 years of experience in teaching to the under-graduate students.
