About Cell

Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) have been identified as the two most backward groups of Indian Society. They include all the castes, races or tribes, which have been socially, economically and educationally backward. The cell has been established to support and to bring students from such communities in the main stream.
The college SC/ST cell was formed in 2019 with an objective of encouraging SC/ST students here. The college takes a special interest in providing financial aid from the government and other sources for students from these communities. They are also urged to set up for career orientation programmes that will provide them the tools they need to make a professional decision.

Activities

To compile reports and data on State Government and UGC orders regarding many facets of education and employment for SC/ST & OBC Students.
To convey State Government and UGC decisions about various scholarship programmes.
To interact with the students and inspire greater future planning on their part.

Objectives

To provide SC/ST students with advice and guidance and assist them in successfully navigating the academic and personal challenges of college life.
To ensure an establishment of a setting where all such students feel secure.
To offer quick counselling for any emotional emergencies brought on by any campus event.
To establish a procedure for resolving any SC/ST students' complaints.
To ensure the reservation and protection outlined in India's constitution.
To make special arrangements for career-enhancing opportunities.
To inform SC/ST students about various state government and UGC scholarship programmes.
To take these additional steps in order to meet the goals and targets set by the UGC and the Indian government.

Minutes of Meetings

As per university guideline, college constitutes the committee. The cell gives different information to the students of SC and ST communities. Meeting are arranged by cell time to time.

First Semester (18.10.2022)
The SC/ST cell was formed with three members
The chairman put forth the aims and objectives of this committee
Cell discussed about various scholarships given to the students
Information about the schemes of Government and University was taken

Second Semester (20.05.2023)
The review of issues discussed in previous meetings was taken
Cell gives necessary information given to the office staff regarding SC and ST students.
Follow up of scholarships was taken.
Coordinator of SC/ST cell has tracked the scholarship taken by the various dept. of students.
