About Library

The Library at SRFGCC has been consistently making efforts to develop a strong collection of learning resources and to provide an access to knowledge.

Ever since the commencement of academic restructuring in 2006, Library has enhanced its collection extensively and has made major developments in terms of adopting ICT in library and information services. The Library is guided by Library Advisory Committee (LAC) consists of Principal as Chairman of the committee and all the Head of the Departments, Library Staff and Student representatives as Members.

Library is also keen in recognizing the Best student user and giving them a “Best User Award” as one of the Best Practices to promote reading habits.

Library has also introduced a Study Circle, under which the programs are conducted to encourage Competitive exam aspirants.
In order to share and exchange resources and expertise, Library has done MOU with some useful Libraries. It is also active in capacity building and outreach activities by conducting several seminars and workshops.

The Library aims to be the best Model Knowledge Centre in the state.

Mission

To serve as resource centre to support all the users to access comprehensive colletions to achive their highest academic credentials.

Objectives

1. To aquire, organize and update the library collections to support teaching-learning process.
2. To provide instructions and assitance in the effective use of learning resources and services .
