The Department of History is one of the oldest and the pro-active department among the college. History is one of the popular subjects of in the college. The History department aims to make the students aware of the fast and its importance through teaching research and extension activities in the contest of Indian history. Dept of History is Promoting participatory method of teaching and learning. Department of History organizes seminars, workshops conferences, quiz competitions, Group discussions, save heritage and also regularly organizes study tour to Historical places, Tourist destinations and Museums. The faculties of the department are highly well qualified and motivated towards to help students. To provide professional knowledge for the field of History and Archaeology. To acquaint students with the past and present of India and Contemporary world. To Prepare students for a range of careers. Students will able to choose a career in the field of History.

Dr. Ramesh Kamble, Assistant Professor, Dept of History, Dr. Ramesh Kamble has completed his Post-Graduation Master of Arts M.A in History and Archaeology in the year 1998-2000 from Karnataka University, Dharwad. And letter went to earn Ph.D. from same University entitled Writings of “Dr. B.R.Ambedkar on Varna System” awarded in the year 2005. He was Worked as Guest Faculty K.U.P.G Center Bijapur for the year 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 and He was worked as Teaching Assistant same University, for the year 2007 to 2010. He was worked as Teaching Assistant Rani Channamma University, P.G Center Bijapur for the year 2010 to 2012. Later he has joined Rani Channamma University as an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Post-Graduate Studies in History from 9th July 2012 to till date. He is guiding Ph.D Research Scholars in the Dept of History at RCU PG Center. He has authored Edited Book with ISBN. Book entitled “Dr. Babasaheb Anbedkar:Chintane Hagu Horata”. He has attended various National and International Conferences, Presented And Published many Research Papres. And Also organized workshops on Research Methodology. He has taken various charges in the university.
